Comparing and contrasting your post to two colleagues' posts about women in modern family life.

In Akeryah's post, she said that "The role of women in modern family life is more on being independent". I completely agree with that statement because women today, do not depend on their boyfriends, let alone their husband's. Do not get me wrong some may, but even with that, they can be independent. It isn't as if they are trapped. Women can play any role they choose, which causes them to be inexpedient. Women are respected more now since their expectations have risen and they now feel superior and as equal to men.
After reading LoKnos's post, he said, " The average woman in this day in age have their own job, car and even most occasions their own house. It wasn't like this in the early 1900s, women barely had any rights & now that they do, they take advantage of them." Things have changed for the better and I believe that everyone knows that, and possibly may even like it that way. Most men of today love independent women, no one wants a needed dependent person any more. In this society, women have "back bones" and are not afraid to stand up for what is right, they can do pretty much anything a man can.
